Does anyone have a ^really^ waterproof waterproof???

Ideally that didn't cost an arm and a leg

Need to get a new one, but bizarrely there's no outdoor shops near here despite the fact that we have a lot of outdoors - don't want to spend £££s on something & then find it leaks after the first downpour!

I've got a northface one that cost 5o quid ( that was a few years ago though) but is brill, it lets no water in, even during a rain soaked camping weekend in devon, not sure what its called but is just a waterproof, no fleece inner or anything

I have a regatta on, which was about £40, its brillant

I was looking at some Northface ones - bit wary of Regatta as have had some of their trousers and they leaked! But to be fair getting really waterproof trousers is always hard.

I think I just need a waterproof, not a fleece liner - better just to layer over a regular fleece I guess?

This looks quite good - maybe the same sort of thing?

Excellent, will go for that one. Now I just have to decide whether to buy it online or wait until I go somewhere I can try one on. Any thoughts as to whether it comes up big or small? (Would need to decide whether to go for small or med.)

If you think you'll want/need to layer it over a fleece, then you might want to go for the bigger size.
