www.broadhembury.co.uk its near ashford not that far away ( dont know if its too far for you ) my sister ( very fussy ) stayed here she loved it and is booking again this year, she stayed in our touring caravan but there were campers all around, the toliet blocks are lovely and clean and the campers all seemed to have a picnic table they had pulled in front of their tents, and it is very secure gated entrance with code, what i saw it was very quite the playground and foot ball was behind the shower blocks away from campers this was in august last year, whitstable is lovely and is about 20 miles away, dont know of any others that i would recommend, you could try www.ukcampsite.co.uk

Not sure there are any nice ones TBH. The closest fab campsite is the Warren, in Folkestone. but that's 40 minutes away by car.

yes i agree and does have good reveiws but DON'T get it muddled up with Little Switzerland Caravan Site because this is an awlful place with bad reveiws, drove up there for a look for my sis and people were pitched along the access road, before you book anywhere check out ukcampsite.co.uk they have lots of campsites and reveiws from people who have stayed there so very honest and new beach is also bad really dirty showers and toliets my sis booked there one year without asking me and found out the hard way, she spent the week on my sofa!!!

Thank you. Has anyone heard of Seaview in Tankerton? It seems to get mixed reviews online.

DS and I spent a couple of nights ar Seaview at Swalecliff, but I think it might have changed management co since then.

Great location, on the beach (though it is a bit pebbly and stony) with a cycle path along the sea to Tankerton and Whitstable.

It wasn't our kind of site at all, though the people who were having a ball clearly loved it. Big flat camping fields with pitches in rows - lots of huge extended family groups set up for the whole summer, some had trampolines, some had big speaker systems mounted on the back of pick up trucks. Football was being played on the football field behind the tents at 1am. There is a clubhouse.

I'd say it was more Hi-De-Hi than relaxing!

Hmmm - there seems to be a real opportunity here for someone to open a back to basics style campsite in the Whitstable area. In fact, much of the Kent coast seems to be holiday park-tastic but there is little for those who like peace and quiet and sitting round a camp fire.

Sorry to be no help OP but just musing....
