Help, we have made a last minute decision to go camping over the Bank HOliday Weekend after a few tough weeks, but cant find a campsite that has any space? It also needs to take dogs. We are in Kent and willing to drive up to 2 hours but less is preferable.

We have found this place, Blacklands Farm Campsite but dont know if its any good. I am hesitant to go without recommendations as am in desperate need of a break and no stress!

Anyone got anything good or bad to say about it?
Or any other campsite recommendations I could try?

That really rings a bell - am sure I used to go there as a Girl Guide about 20 years ago! I have nothing more helpful to add!

yes, i think it's a guide campsite but i know they do commercial camping too, and during the week corporate 'retreat' sort of stuff.

There will most likely be a lot of D of E expeditions there so many teenagers. It's a big place though (several fields) so there's plenty of space.

Thanks, I managed to find an alternative that I am much happier with, but thanks for your help.

DD1 is going there with her school after half-term. They will be doing lots of activities there and learning how to set up camp and organise their living. Both she and DD2 went there previously with their primary school to do said activities, but have never actually stayed on their campsite before. THey could only speak veryy highly of the place after their previous day trips.
