Ours is basically a glorified bucket, and we keep our cooking stuff inside! (Ew! but it is clean!)

I just have a regular bucket with a lid and put a carrier bag in it with a couple of cheap nappies opened out in the bottom. All you need to do in the morning is tie the bag handles up and bin it.

FWIW - our KK is one of our most used items on most camping trips. Bulky, yes but a godsend. Great for little (and not so little) bladders needing an urgent trip in the night or first thing on waking - especially if it's raining/chilly.

We also pack things in and around it for transport. DP thought I was off my rocker when I bought it and begrudged packing it the first time because it takes up so much space - but oh, has he changed his tune since....

We use a big plastic sweet jar ( type you'd find in old school sweet shops ). Nice wide opening, can hold loads, has a screw top lid to stop spills, and is clear, so all my friends can comment on the volume and colour of our pee. Not for pooing though......

glad to hear your experiences with the KK as IT ISSSSs biggggg! I have been toying with the idea of taking it back, but perhaps if stuff can be stored inside it for the journey, then it would be useful. Mmm..... will think some more. Cheers ladies Smile
