TV aerials for caravan/campervan - any recommendations?

I've chosen a TV for the campervan and now need an aerial for it. Have been told to avoid omni ones. Has anyone got a recommendation for a decent aerial.

Only thing is its analogue. But I'm confused as it has freeview. I thought freeview was digital - do I need a digital TV for after switchover?

Also how do you attach the aerial to the van - I know I'll need a long pole and clamp, do the poles push in the ground?

I asked dh as he is an expert re: campers and he says the aerials are mostly all rubbish

the best sort look like a household tv aerial and fix on a pole outside -yes, they can be pushed into the ground or bolted to the side of the camper.

he says for a guaranteed picture, you need a roof mounted satellite system-which are over £1000
