Kampa Junior bed or Gelert Sleeping Pod

We have camped with both our kids since they were babies. My older child went from travel cot to our old Thermarest mat and a Vango kids sleeping bag like a breeze. My younger child (2.5) went into a sleeping bag a couple of weeks ago when we camped and hated it. She is very wriggly and likes to stretch out in her sleep and felt too confined. So I am looking at a couple of alternatives for our next trip and would appreciate any advice:

  1. Gelert sleeping pod on a Thermarest - these have been recommended by a friend as they are wider than mummy bags, but are only two-season so would they be warm enough?
  1. Kampa junior bed. They sound great from other threads but could you just use a duvet on top and be warm enough? I see some people say they use a fitted sheet but how can you do that as there is a lower bit in the middle of the bed? Also, are they noisy when the child rolls over? We tried a Thomas ready bed (at home) for my older child and he hated it as it was so noisy to sleep on.

Thanks for any feedback!

I would say the air bed would be too cold unless you had a duvet under her too. I would go for the pod and extra blankets as needed.

They do a 3 season pod - just found it on amazon so gonna be elsewhere too.

Or a grown up bag folded under? [tight arse emoticon] We did that Grin

We have gelert pods (2 season. I also worried about it being too cold (thought they were 3 season) but used extra balnkets - the DDs loved them as they were free to wriggle

Thanks for the tips and the suggestion as well stinkypinky. Have ordered the 3 season bag so fingers crossed it will do the trick.
