We have camped with both our kids since they were babies. My older child went from travel cot to our old Thermarest mat and a Vango kids sleeping bag like a breeze. My younger child (2.5) went into a sleeping bag a couple of weeks ago when we camped and hated it. She is very wriggly and likes to stretch out in her sleep and felt too confined. So I am looking at a couple of alternatives for our next trip and would appreciate any advice:
- Gelert sleeping pod on a Thermarest - these have been recommended by a friend as they are wider than mummy bags, but are only two-season so would they be warm enough?
- Kampa junior bed. They sound great from other threads but could you just use a duvet on top and be warm enough? I see some people say they use a fitted sheet but how can you do that as there is a lower bit in the middle of the bed? Also, are they noisy when the child rolls over? We tried a Thomas ready bed (at home) for my older child and he hated it as it was so noisy to sleep on.
Thanks for any feedback!
