We've booked in for a couple of nights on the campsite next to the lake. We're CCC members so get the club dissy [buwink]
I haven't camped in Keswick before, but have heard it floods a lot so am praying it stays dry!

Anyone else camping this week?

Thanks, yes we've been a lot but usually in a B&B. Will chance it though and hope for the best Smile

the site is lovely, facilities are fab, so you will have a ball Envy
(can I skive work and come camping instead?)

Yes go for it [buwink] I had read the loos are ropey but we sometimes use certified sites so will be luxury to us to have a shower [bugrin]
I'm taking our heater and hats though. Dp and I camped out last week, behind a pub and our heads were so cold we kept waking up.

wise move. We camped the first weekend in april, omg there was frost on the tent in the morning Shock DS2 proudly proclaimed that he had six layers on (and a 3 season mummy sleeping bag) so was warm the git
I, on the other hand, was not.

this week will be way better Wink

We camped last year at this sort of time and it was frosty when we went to bed, should've been prepared especially as it'd been a warm/hot day but no cloud cover.

Weather's cold today, hope it improves tomorrow?

We stayed in Braithwaite, near Keswick, recently (in a cottage though), but we went past a campsite which looked alright (to my novice eyes). The location is lovely, in the village, and you can go for lots of walks without driving anywhere.

Hope it gets warmer!

we just come back from lakes and went to keswick yesterday - was lovely and hot. Bit chilly on a night but not massively though we were in a pod, think you will still need your extras on a night.

g'on then Curious, what was it like?
