Eurocamps near La Rochelle - anyone been?

We are nervously trying out Eurocamp this year. Being complete camping novices the whole sleeping-in-a-tent thing is weirdly daunting but loads of our mates keep telling us that the kids will absolutely love it so we have decided to give it a go.

We have decided on the La Rochelle area but have no idea really what we are looking for.
Is there anyone out there at all who has been and could recommend something?

We went a couple of times about 18 years ago and then 10 years ago and it was fine. As for what site to go on, you just have to look and see what facilities are available and what you want. In the brochure it usually says if a site is for families or teenagers, quiet or noisy. If you want it quiet then choose a site with fewer pitches. We went to a site near Bordeaux that had 1000 pitches. That was quite noisy. We didn't mind as the DC were older. It was the only time we had something pinched, though. Mine and my daughter's swimming towels. Not particularly valuable, but quite annoying.

We take our own tent, but often go to sites that eurocamp and the others use.

I've never experienced any problems on any of the sites.

Not sure if eurocamp go there, but this one is south of la Rochelle and has a fantastic water park.
