Outwell fusion v Quechua 4 man ?

I have an Outwell 6 man tent that I love, but which takes about 20/30 minutes to erect and pack down.
Sometimes I like to head off with just one child or both children and no husband for a night or two, or to festivals. The big tent is fab for longer trips, but I'd love a pop-up for these shorter breaks.
I've heard good things about the Quechua tents, but there's now an Outwell 4 man pop-up. I can't find a comparison review site... does anyone have experience of either tent?
Thanks in advance!

I don't think you can stand up in the Outwell pop up tent which would put me off.

I've got a Quercha Base Seconds and I like it - its the tall square one. We just use it as a day tent alongside the campervan but you can buy seperate sleeping compartments that fit into it. I think its well made, easy to put up and take down.

We have an Outwell Bear Lake 6 which I love but takes 30/40 mins to put up and is a huge pack. So is fantastic for longer holidays but not for short trips.

Last year we bought a Quecha xxl llll from Decathlon for weekend trips. It is just perfect for the purpose. Up in 5 mins or less and plenty of room for the 4 of us. we used it last at the end of September and found it cosy and warm inside.

Would certainly recommend it.

I love tent shopping too, and anything connected to camping!

Posted my reply and have spent last ten minutes looking on Outwell site seeing what was new and if we could buy anything!!

Not good as should be typing invoices but far more fun!

Hehe... I've been watching the Quechua videos! I'm going to have a quick look at the Outwell ones (if I can find them), but I think the decision is made. I get rediculously excited about the thought of living outdoors. Where will you be going this year?

We are off to west coast of France this summer for 2 weeks.

We were hoping to go away this weekend as August seems so far away but dh and ds have both got tonsillitis so not going away now! Will try to get away for a few weekends before summer holidays start. That is why we went for a Quechua tent as too much stress to take Bear lake for just 1 night.

Where are you off to?

Poor them... and you!

We are going to Dorset in August, to Eweleaze Farm (will take the big-un for that!)... it was recommended on MN. Also booked Solfest for the August bank holiday weekend. I wanted to have a few weekends too, and I'm meeting family for a group camp in Dent at some point.

I actually quite like the look of the Outwell pop-up, but it hasn't as much room as the other.

Have fun in France. I love that coast, with it's dunes and fishing ports. Are you travelling around or staying in one place?

Eweleaze will be good. I love Dorset. We stayed at east fleet farm near Weymouth last year and had a fab time. Weymouth is just lovely and that whole coast is fantastic for children. My ds wants to be an archeologist so he was in his element!

I have just looked at outwell pop up and remember seeing it at a campshop in Farnham recently. It does not have as much room as quechua but ground sheet in day space is sewn in if that makes a difference.

As for France, we are staying for 1 week on Isle d'Oleron but touring about for the rest of the time. I can't wait!
