We all read a lot especially when camping.Balancing a huge lantern on my shoulder is bugging me.What other systems do you all use?

We all have headtorches, they do the job for reading.

In the tent we have those LED things, a big one which we hang in the middle and a couple of smaller ones we put where we need them. They don't provide masses of light but they do the job.

The best headtorch I have found is by Alpkit, I use it for running too, even has a red LED on the back so you can't lose the dc'sGrin

Head torch. I discovered the joy of them for reading a couple of years ago. Have never looked back.

I'm intending getting a headtorch for next year. I've seen the ones with the red lights and think they are great. You can sometimes get them in Wilkinson, I think.

Once the children have gone to sleep, my DH lights a gas lantern for reading which is really bright.

I am going to check out the one on Alpkit though, how long do batteries last in them?

Aldi do great headtorches, I have used mine loads and not changed the battery yet.

Also there UFO led lights are really good for hanging in the tent.

A Kindle with a lighted cover - not a cheap option obviously but brilliant.
