Anyone stayed at Swiss farm camp site in oxfordshire?

Thinking of going to this site for our first camping holiday as a family (2dd, 6 & 4). Near to legoland, I think. Any thoughts on the site?

Its no where near Legoland you know !

Oh, site review claim it's 30 mins drive away. 30 mins is near enough :). Or is that a false claim?

Is it in Henley? I stayed at that one years ago... seemed nice but then I was 18 and drunk most of the time so I don't really remember....

Half an hour would be OK with no traffic - it just always seems to take me longer than route planner would tell you round there.

This is the site we use for 2 night local stays.

Are you going in a tent? The tent fields are lovely (whereas caravans are in regimented lines). You can walk into Henley in a 10min stroll & get a fab ice-cream to eat whilst wandering along the river :)

Facilities are good and there is a small pool with additional charge.

No campfires allowed, but we lit a fire in our barbeque and used that.

Traffic can get mad, and it is still a good drive to Legoland, but perfectly fine for a day trip.

CMOT, thanks, I'm from Scotland and I've no concept of the traffic down south (sound like a country bumpkin) :).

I stayed here last summer. Was really nice with good facilities. Bar and pool were a bonus and the kids playground was good too. Henley is lovely for a stroll around. Definitely recommend it :)

When are you going? Make sure its not the time of the regatta!!!!!! The campsite and fields beyond are used for the hoards of people that descend into Henley for the regatta, its fantastic but it would not be a good tiem to go with a young family. They close the pool due to safety reasons ( too many drunk people)
