North Vendee / Loire / southern Brittany area!!

Ok so now I have the stopover site sorted I need to find a main site! Ideally we want to be near Pornic / Saint Nazaire.
We don't want an all singing all dancing site, but somewhere with a swimming pool, playground for the children, and ideally walking distance to the beach.
MNers are fab at advising on this sort of thing, so over to you!!!

I've been looking at 'canvas' they seem reasonably priced.

Any particular site?

la garageoire is nice site - north vendee not sure if near pornic though. canvas pitches there are good. didn't like vendee as much as brittany. lots of reviews on here about campsites in la trinite - which is near carnac - much nicer area.

Was hoping to find something a bit further north than La Garageoire. I thought as the Vendee is so touristy, the recommendations would have been flooding in?

have you done a search here on la trinite sur mer? there are a couple of sites on there that might fit your requirements. or try ukcampsites.co.uk. we've been to the carnac area about 5 times which is beautiful and the weather is similar to vendee, but not as cold at night. but we've been to la metairie which is think would be too busy for you.

la garangeiore is pretty far north in vendee. to be honest the stie was lovely but vendee's not nearly so nice as brittany.

We went to camping de la baie near Carnac last year in June half term. Site was very quiet, lovely and beautiful beach just over the road.
This year were taking our own tent to la guyonniere in the vendee. It's 10k from the beach but a quieter site with no eurocamp or other tour operators there. It has pools, farm animals and daily tractor rides. Check out their website as they do have some statics for hire. Comes highly recommended on uk campsite.
