Summer holiday destination suggestions? Assume Cornwall to be rammed?!

We know Cornwall and Devon well so gravitate towards that area, but as DH is now a teacher we have to go during school hols...I'm assuming that area will be rammed?

We want to go for 2 or 3 weeks, with a trailer tent, 2 dogs and a one yr old.

Any suggestions on areas to head to? We've also been ro the Gower which we loved.

We like peaceful, rural locations, perhaps near a beach... will probably spend 5 days to a week in a few places.

Where are you travelling from?

Dorset, south east coast of...

Pembrokeshire tends to be emptier in the summer holidays than Devon or Cornwall. lots of good campsites near beaches too.

If you like peaceful rural, we have camped at nice sites at Dale (very basic, very remote), Sandy haven (so small it doesn't advertise but you can find it on an OS map), and Carfai farm at St Davids.
