We're just bought out first family tent and now looking forward to taking our DDs, aged 3 and 6 months, camping this Summer. I think we'll start with 2-3 night breaks to see how we get on.

Small, quiet sites suit me and DH but maybe we should consider somewhere with snazzy pool to keep DD1 happy. Any recommendations for a site with really good indoor pool, preferably Devon or Cornwall so we don't need to travel too far?

Looking forward to much lurking here pick up some tips on successful family camping.

Hi. Ruda Holiday Park in Croyde, North Devon. Not small or quiet by any stretch but has a good indoor pool and Croyde's lovely. Otherwise you could stay at Bay View Farm in Croyde, which is a much more low key campsite (has a playground, chip shop, pedal tractors and good, clean toilets; also a big sink that seems to double as a baby bath!), and walk to Ruda to use the pool. Both are walking distance to the beach and a short drive from the (in my opinion) nicer family beach at Putsborough.

Thanks snowgirl. I'll check those out. N Devon is a bit far for the day from us but would be good for a weekend.
