Hi,

DC's will be 4yo and 11months when we camp in the Vendee late June/early July. DS sleeps on a normal airbed like us in a sleeping bag but have not camped with the baby before.

What should she sleep on? Mum suggested taking the travel cot (which can double up as somewhere safe to put her when cooking, etc). What do you seasoned campers reckon? Originally was just thinking of having her beside me on a normal airbed, but now I think the travelcot would be a good idea.

Would one of those sheepskin rugs be good for insulation under a sheet on the bottom of the cot? What does everyone else do?

Thanks in advance :-)

I've used this before and it's excellent and well worth the money. It's very light and small (about the size of a dinner plate and you can take it on the beech or wherever you go!

I think that your mum has a point - if you can fit one in then a travel cot is great in a tent with a crawling baby.
