They're not conventional peg shaped, so how do they go?

Do you hammer one "arm" in as far as you can, then have the other "arm" lying across the ground?

How do they work? (simple terms please!)

Why are they so fab?

delta ground anchors

So, yes you are right the arm with the point hammers into the ground and the other arm lies on the top of the ground.

You can see in the picture it has a hooky bit at the end and that is where your guy goes under.

The hook end points towards the tent not away from it like other pegs do.

They work with clever angles and forces. The harder the guy pulls on the peg the harder the peg pulls DOWN into the ground.

They are fab because they don't come out.

Thanks for that, I'm still a but Confused about which way round it goes though.

Which way does the bit that lies along the ground face? Is the end with the hook on closest to the tent or furthest away?

The end with the hook on that lies along the top of the ground is closest to the tent.

When you order them you get a picture showing how to put them in and take them out.

Cool. Thanks for clearing it up!

Think I might get some for our main guys - we somehow always seem to pick weekends with atrocious weather to go camping in!

We have got some plastic ones which can get a bit wobbly and some steel ones. The only issue we have had is that the hook where the guys go is quite sharp on the cut edges which has started to fray the guys slightly. Haven't done anything about it though. I did wonder about putting some thick tape around it for protection.
