Aldi thermal fleece blankets

here.

Have been reading up tips on keeping warm at night on ukcs and saw a thread about these.

I have four now and am going to make them somehow (am not very adept with a sewing machine) into sleeping bag liners for when it is very cold and then to either use as a basic lightweight fleece bag in the summer (when it is going to be hot- oh yes) or open them out to be a blanket.

Was thinking about attaching poppers somehow.

Anyway they are lovely and thick, really good quality fleece and if you add a fleece liner to a bag you add a season's warmth rating to it, so they say.

sorry to be thick, are they much warmer then a regular fleece? we have some cheap fleeces from Ikea but they are pretty thin... they might be good for an extra layer for us.
I tried sleeping with a cotton sleeping bag liner last year but gave up on it b/c i sort of got a bit tangled inside my (rather wide) sleeping bag and i felt a bit restricted. i was a bit gutted really because I wanted all of us to use liners so i wouldn't have to think about washing the sleeping bags more then necessary.

No not thick of you at all poppy. I was a bit Hmm about the price as £7 isn't that cheap for a blanket when you can pick them up for a couple of quid in primark or Ikea, but these really are good quality and thick.

I'm going to try and figure out a way to fix them inside dh and my sleeping bags so they don't get twisty tangled up. Probably with a few loops at buttons at strategic places. I think for the dds I might put them in their sleeping bags first and them put them inside the fleece bags.
