can you recommend a camping site near essex

We are going on our first camping trip in May just the three of us. Can someone recommend afew places thats child friendly for a 2 1/2 year old.

I dont want to go further than 2 hours from Essex. This is just incase we dont like it and want to come home.

fen farm is nice on mersea island you can walk to a muddy beach, it's next to a country park and has a kids play area, happy camping!

thetford forest has a few campsites - can't remember the name of the nice one we went to though.

we started our camping trips to mersea island we have stayed on Fen's Farm and Waldergraves both good sites. I live in chelmsford so they are only 1/2 hour up the road.

We have been going to Cromer in Nolfolk which I love.

Do you want a site with lots of facilities, or just a field with toilets/showers?

I agree Fen farm. Hot clean showers and toliets. Nice beach walk great for crabbing and sweet little village :)
