We stayed here only for one night on our way further south.
Can't really comment too much on the site apart from it was clean and wasn't too "council estate".
Has a "natural pool" which didn't seem to attract too much interest.
And an adequate Pizza restaurant.
Loads of mainly french birkenstock shod families.

I can totally recommend this place though.....

Its in The Lot, nr Bergerac.

Easy striking distance from The Dordogne.

Run and mainly occupied by Dutch - much friendlier than french run sites.
Great pool.
Clean.
Friendly.
Great kids activities.
Has a lovely restaurant for a romantic meal whilst the kids are fed and looked after somewhere else - FANTASTIC!

Been back twice now.
Would go again but trying northern spain this year.
Anyone got any recommends?

ThemostAH - looked up your campsite recommendation - it looks HEAVENLY! Seriously considering it for a week in the summer. What would your recommendations for things to do around there be?

We went to the Huttopia Rille site a couple of years ago and had a lovely time. It was in a lovely spot - really leafy and on a beautiful lake. The site was very well run with nice clean showers/toilets, good size pitches, organic pizza restaurant and lovely (small) pool. Our ds was very small at the time and we liked the fact that you had to leave your car out the front. The only downside was that the shop was tiny and barely sold anything and, because it was in the middle of nowhere, you had to drive anywhere you wanted to go.

We said that we'd definitely like to check out some of their other sites.

Themostah that looks amazing but a bit far for this trip have book marked for the future though.... Coconut - we booked for De Chantepie in the end as there were lots of good reviews and I was a bit worried about the mozzies magnet combination of a lake and trees Grin
