La Baume near Frejus

Anyobe got any experience of this site? The only review for it here is bad. I think Frejus was affected by the torrential rains last summer. Thinking of it for June.

We went probably 3 or 4 years ago. We didn't camp but hired a mobile home. On the Plan du Camping on the website we were in the Bastidons on the far left hand side. It was right at the very end of the season when we went. It really is a huge site. I think the camping plots were pretty shady. I found it to be fine. Half the place/pools were shutdown because of the time of year but what was left open was fine for us. There's bugger all to walk to, around and about so you'd need the car for shopping & stuff. I seem to think there was a teeny shop onsite. I might be wrong but I think there was a BBQ ban when we were there which was a bit of a disappointment. Can't honestly remember though if it was a temporary or permanent siutation though. Access is straight off the motorway as I remember so easy to get to. We used it as a base to visit lots of other places - Nice, Monte Carlo, St. Tropez etc. We flew into Nimes & then hired a car. My fave trip out was to the Camargue & I liked the area of coast towards Spain better than the Provence end, from what we saw of it.
