my dream tent.... squeeeeeee Grin

Got a grant from the family fund and that's it, we have it! That's our camping sorted for the next few years (we couldn't go away last summer as we'd outgrown our Aztec Hawk 5 and couldn't afford to replace).

It's being delivered next week. I'm soooo excited! Grin

Got a bargain too as I got a 2010 model in the sale.

Oooooooooooooooooh

Lovely big tent and a bargain too.

Are you going to put it up when you get it?

Glitterknickaz · 18/01/2011 16:13

I need to do it on a recreation ground really as our garden isn't big enough Blush

So when the weather is better we'll go over to the one near mum.

The outwell website has (or did) have some really good videos for how to pitch each of their tents.

Have fun! Such a good idea to have a practice pitch.

We bought one last year and it was fab, loads of space and v water tight.

MissQue · 22/01/2011 18:41

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO lurvely :D Sadly, I wouldn't dare take dd in a tent and it would be way too big to carry for miles through festival sites Grin One of these days I will get one that I can stand up in, but in the meantime, I should get some use out of the 5 I've got Shock Grin

Mands, for our kids I find it easier to camp, then you don't have to faff with corner covers, socket covers etc in a caravan, hotel room etc. We do the zips up to the top of the bedroom cubicles to stop them escaping and also on the doors. We can adapt our environment to suit if you like. We also have all the gas and knives etc in a utility tent.

I would love one of these for this year!

Hope you dont mind me asking glitterknickaz but where did you buy it and how much was it?

TIA

Nattynoos

Glitterknickaz · 25/02/2011 18:47

Hi Nattynoos, it was £599 and I got it from Taunton Leisure online. Last years' model so it was cheaper.

Lovely tent Grin

Did Familyfund cover the whole £599 cost? Was it 'holiday' money?
Sorry to be nosey, and you don't need to answer Grin

Glitterknickaz · 06/03/2011 12:15

No, they gave me £400 and I had £200 saved. That's the entire family fund grant this year.
