we always (8 years)go to the west of france venturing now down as far as royan and would like this year to venture east. Jura looks n=ice as does annecy.

Has anyone stayed in erected tents (so like venue, eurocamp) in any of these areas and recommend a campsite?
Thanks

About 10 years ago I had the nicest holiday of my life in a pre erected campsite type place in a village called Pralognan. I think it was close to Annecy, it was up in the mountains in the Vanoise national park. Loads of walking and great scenery. Have no idea what company/campsite name it was but I'm sure google would help.

We went to a site last year in the Jura, val de bonnal, I think.

They have ready tents (eurocamp) etc, but they are in the busy end of the site, nr the shop and pool.

We took our own tent and had a pitch at the far end of the site and it was lovely.

Great swimming complex, lakes, walks, fab holiday!
