I know all the good camps get booked quick, so looking to book for july and aug next year.
Been to longthorns which we loved apart from toilet/shower problem
Love fen farm on mersea island but not keen on beach.
We love the beach, woodland walks and we have a dog too :)

For woodland we love the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire. We go to Bracelands or Christchurch campsite with direct access on foot into the forest.

There is a sculpture trail and a fabulous cycle route which my kids love on the old railway track. You can hire bikes at the visitor centre to fit everyone, including baby carriers.

Nearby are Clearwell Caves and picturesque Symnonds Yat with boat trips etc.

I think you are talking about different Christchurch's. Greenwing is talking about the Forest Holidays site in the Forest of Dean. i think Lisa is talking about the place called Christchurch on the South Coast.
