If you gave one it may be worth taking if you have the room. If your dd is happy wearing a hat (and it would be worth taking a few - a spare in case you lose one plus one that you are happy to get wet to wear in the pool/sea) I probably wouldn't bother. I used to take a few muslins which you can use to make shade or to cover a car window etc.
Other than that just ensure that you have some high factor sun screen, insect repellant, Piriton or similar in case she suffers from heat rash, Anthisan cream in case of insect bites, Calpol or similar just in case.
Have a great time.....

well they do get a bit stuffy, but on the beach in South of France I found it great. lottie slept in there a bit and I was able to breast feed her withoput having the sun bake us. They do get stuffy though so....... i didn't actually use mine this year but only stayed on beach for about an hour and a half, prefered the villa where we had loads of natural shade to keep her in.
Have agreat holiday /s!

We have one but have n't used it that much. Does provide somewhere to change though, a surface to play that isn't like walking on hot coals and a non-sandy place to store stuff. Probably not worth it if baby is mobile or if you have a buggy with sunshade where he can nap (Europeans often drape a muslin or light blanket over hood to toe to provide extra shade).

Jaybee, didn't think Anthisan was suitable for under 2's.

Have fun

Lizs - have to admit that I am not sure - my two are older now and I forget when I first used it. I have always taken something for bites though even when they were tiny - although I can't remember what now.
