Going camping with 2.9 dd for first time - any tips?

First time camping for DD, and first time in ages for me. DH has been more often but on lads trips. It's just an overnight stay to break us in gently but what should I be thinking of in terms of packing? Any tips for keeping DD entertained/safe/happy?

Thanks Smile

Crocs or flip flops for going to the showers, plus tracksuit with hood for showers and sleeping in if cold or wearing as a warm jacket.

And a hot water bottle to take the chill out of her bedding before she gets in.

Most important thing for us is for ds not to get cold at night, so make sure you have enough warm clothes, bedding, and, as grumble said, hot water bottle. Most other things you can live without, but ds is not happy when cold.

Thanks both - will go and unearth the hot water bottle. I hate being cold too so plenty of warm stuff will be packed.
