This is a last minute trip, so I'm trying to get everything together in a rush.

It's myself going, dp and dd (19 months)

2 nights. Huge tent. Lake District.

Please help me not to forget anything.

That reminds me a bit SS of the dawlish Folk festival, takes place all over town and is loads of fun. We did our first festival with kids this year and took them to Bug Jam at santa Pod which is a Vdub festival and it was fab!! Felt really young again and the kids had a great time were fascinated by soo much now my littlest shouts campervan every time he sees one!

We all get a bit excited at campers a bit far off at the mo though but when I win the lottery, I'm going to have a samba splitty!! I even have an animal camper wallet and my dp thinks i'm like Joey from friends when he gets all the porsche clothes but doesn't really have one!
We love live music too and are thinking of glasto the year after next, nothing cuter than little kids dancing around!

Yeah with the kind of v shaped front with the badge in the middle and then windows round the edge of the roof- not asking much am i, settle for any old rust bucket really!
Know what you mean about paying for glasto but kids are free and i want that tingly feeling back when you look down the valley and see all the lights and just a couple of really good bands or singers in the acoustic tent just to top it off, and the levellers playing one way somewhere and some noodles and oh you know what i mean, its magic!

Yor dream is soo the same as mine deepest devon on a winters day in my warm snuggly van and a cup of tea

astonished · 26/08/2005 22:07

Suzy it will be cool, the main thing to remember when camping is even if the tent falls down you can still put it back up, there is no such thing as a big deal, just relax and enjoy the ride!

cupcakes · 26/08/2005 22:30

we've just got back from near Swanage - we stayed nearer to Wareham though. If you have boys (or girls!) who are into knights you should take them to Lulworth Castle - they have jousting and archery on every day (I think!) at the moment. ds loved it. Hope you have a good time. We went in a camper van and it was very nice to get out of the awning and close the door of the van when the weather turned bad. We sat there eating toast - for the whole day on Wednesday!

astonished · 27/08/2005 13:16
