Tent recommendations for an Outwell Girl please

4 years ago there was just me and my DH. We bought our 'perfect' tent to see us through what we thought would be a good many years. An outwell Indiana 4. The perfect size, height, angle of the walls, strong, etc etc. Sadly I think we've just had our final trip in it. Sniff. We are now me, DH, DD and another DD will be with us in October. Our 'perfect' tent is just too small. Double sniff.

What would you recommend? We love outwell tents, should we buy one of the new designs or should we stick to the joy of the Indiana and try and get a 6 man (they've stopped making them now?). Or should we widen our horizons and try another make? Gulp.

Help... a distressed outwell owner.

We have a 2009 Florida 6 which is a big tent but does have plenty of room for playing in on rainy days. The smaller florida 5 would also be suitable. Both have the canopy aning that your indiana had.

just seen that wildday.com are doing the florida 5 for £350. That's a serious bargain.

Thanks ebayaddict. I've had a good look online at the florida and it's ticking all the boxes. I just need to see one pitched now.

We have just bought the Florida 6 and it is fab, nice and big and a great bit storage area helps to keep the tent uncluttered.

You will struggle to see one pitched though, very few places seem to stock them and none local to us had them on display. We just went for it and bought one in the end!

Thanks again everyone.

Melrose, how many of you are there in the florida 6? Just looked again at the dimensions of the florida 5 and am wondering if it'll have the additional space I'm looking for, and the Florida 6 just seems like a monster! How do you find it height wise?

I think short of driving around campsites at the weekends and seeking out the Florida 5 and 6 pitched we're going to have to do the same and just buy it without seeing it.

Outwell girl just couldn't wait any longer before purchasing a new tent... we were offered a ridiculous bargain that we couldn't turn down - an Outwell Ohio L for just £250!! Hurrah!
