Am in France on hols. Our pitch is between 2 roads and next to the shower/loo/ washing up block.

We have had several people walk across our pitch to get from the block to a waiting car etc. (we are not in the UK and these peoplen weren't from the UK either but hey ho) This has meant them picking their way across our pitch picking their way in between our stuff bikes, tables, guy ropes etc. The last lot got a "very hard stare" as its clearly our pitch and there is not a path or anything. So am I being unreasonable in being p**d off with these people.

Get your children to lie in wait with water guns. Wink

MisSalLaneous · 10/08/2010 20:41

Hahaha, love the traps and water guns idea. Go on, OP, change this into an adventure for the children. Grin

MisSalLaneous · 10/08/2010 20:42

Oh, and for what it's worth, it would annoy me too.

Make angry dog noises from inside the tent and scare the ignorant pigs to death!!

Ripeberry · 15/08/2010 14:01

Have you got any windbreaks? Make a fence all around your stuff, that will stop them!

Can you get another pitch? the thought of having a parade of people so near to your pitch due to the toilets being near, makes me wonder what is the point of camping...

welshdeb · 15/08/2010 14:09

We have put a wind break up didn't seem to put them off tho.
Starlight -the pitches are numbered and it was allocated to us so no real choice there.

Is there not another way for them to walk then?

Ripeberry · 15/08/2010 14:11

Maybe get another windbreak and close up any gaps. They must see a clear path if they choose to go straight accross your pitch.
Trip wires sound good though. Grin

There is a path to the road just the other side of the shower block only a few yards away. I wouldnt be so irritated if I was in a field with the block in the middle, but there are paths laid out around the pitches so there is no need for them to do it.
