Le Ribeyre in Murol,Puy de Dome - very large site but beautifully situated. Lake for boating/swimming/walking round; fab pool complex. Some entertainment but low key and not noisy. Pitches near the lake are more cramped and noisier - best ones are mid way between entrance and lake. It's expensive though and weather was dodgy when we were there (highest 29, lowest a chilly 13) - but you are in the mountains so I suppose it's to be expected.

The one we loved was Les Moulettes in the Haute-Loire - family run, 50 pitches, 500 yds to town (Vorey-sur-Arzon), great area. Has a pool and a small river for paddling/fishing etc. Lots of walks around the site. Would definitely go again. And it was HOT!

les Rachisses in Largentiere - lovely pool complex, small shop, Some entertainemnt but every thing stops at 11.30, tennis, crazy golf, small river beach etc etc. Largentiere has a medieval castle with daily shows etc some in english and you must visit the caves near Pont D;arc.
