Needed to downsize from our monster 12 man tent.

After much research, we bought a Khyam Winnipeg and it definately does what it says on the tin.

It is a 4 man tent, but HUGE. You can stand up in the bedroom, each take a full size double airbed, and the living space is also great.

The foortprint is 570cm x 220 cm, so more like a 6-8 man really.

Anyway, DH was watching the F1, and I have been itching to try it out, and I managed to get it fully up on my own

Would defianately recommend this for a small family. Sewn in Groundsheet, 5000 HH, and very well made.

Now, to book a weekend away to try it properly.....

I will have a look at that. Have just come back from a weekend in North Wales. Continual rain, tent leaked a bit (2000 HH so stood up well considering that it did not stop raining for 4 days). Biggest problem was I cannot put up my tent by myself. Thankfully someone came to help but if he hadn't I was contemplating going to find a B&B [blush}.

Wow, well done you! I always find it very satisfying to be able to do the tent on my own or just with the help of the Dd's. It gives me a great sense of freedom and independence. Good luck booking a site and I hope the new tent is as good as it sounds.

Mollie - this one would def be easier if you did have a hand (they say 15mins for 2 people) but just takes a fair amount of heaving to get the 2 main poles bent into the ferrule holders without them pinging off the other end if you are on your own. However, took me around 30 mins max total, including fitting the carpet!, from complete scratch and constantly referring back to instructions etc.
