I've just returned from my first ever camping trip and it was brill. We went for 2 nights (I'm not very brave) to the East Coast. Weather was fab, kids had a great time, everyone on the site was really friendly. Cant believe the kids (dd age 17, her boyfriend, dd age 13, ds age 11 and ds age 5) went for 3 days without xboxes, hair straighteners and tv and didnt complain once! Have booked to go again this weekend!

Sometimes we don't give our teenagers enough credit, and this just shows that they can live a few days without all modern technology glued to them. Well done, I admire your ability to get them to come with you, and I admire them for trying something that a few may turn their noses up at. You'l be hooked now, so enjoy the experiences you will have camping.
