Junior ready beds - any good for camping?

Just wondering if the ready beds (with little bumper sides) are any good for camping? We have a 2 year old and thought it may be better than an air bed and seperate sleeping bag. Does anyone have any experience, are they warm enough and if they are any good can anyone recommend somewhere theat sells them at a reasonable price?

fine to sleep on, but I would recommend another sleeping bag inside the ready bed, or lots of extra blankets, as the bag is only fleece and not very thick or warm.

Thanks, it's difficult to know how thick/thin the top sheet/sleeping bag bit is as no websites seem to say. Thanks for your advice.

We have the camping weight ready beds (in the Argos catalogue in the camping section, they come in navy or pink IIRC and don't have character stuff all over them.)

Ds1 has used it since he was 2 with no problems, with an extra blanket if required.

From what I've seen of the character type, the bedding part is very thin so you'd need extra layers.

Jojay, I have just bought that exact one today and will be going camping next weekend so will take an extra duvet. They've gone up a lot in price though, I bought a pink one a year ago for £15 and now they are £25.

We camped last week and Ds1 wore long sleeved pj's and I put an extra fleece blanket on him when we went to bed. He never woke up cold.

Have a great time

Ds3 has a Thomas readybed for camping and the top blanket is very thin, too thin even for summer at home I would say! Definitely take an extra blanket and pyjamas.

Is it a My First ready bed? I've just sold my Thomas one as ds (3.2 but diddy!) is too big for it. The bumper sides made the bed too narrow for him to move around in.
Kampa Junior beds are supposed to be good.

I've just bought our Thomas one from a lovely lady in Wakefield via eBay :-)
