mini rant here - bought this last year in the go outdoors offer (we bought two actually) anyhow the blue one we have we have never actually gotten out so its been in loft - dh got it down and i got ds all excited this am to play tents in his bedrooom and when i popped it open the pole went through the stitching snapping and now im picking fibreglass out of my thumb. Majorlly pissed off . Do you think they will tell me to naff off if i take it back?

worth a try - say you've never used it and show them how clean it is. might be worth suggesting a replacement rather than refund. most people would expect a tent to work at least once!

show them your thumb! if they don't give you a refund they are mad. if they quibble i'd say that you are not currently looking for damages to your thumb - just a refund/replacement. this should focus their minds. good luck. sounds like you might need to go to the doctors?

nah i think its worked out buti wont tell them that! I dont want another anyway as clearly they are crapola - a credit note towards a windbreak would be nice though

Well i took it back - i showed them my thumbs and said i was really annoyerd and did not want another as it could be my toddlers eyes next time - he said theyd had alot back - they asked if i had a discoutn card to which i replied no as i dont (last yr we used my dads) so he gave me a store credit note for the ful price of £45 . Fantastic service! I got some power pegs, normal pegs, a sleeping back for dd in the deal thing and a high gear windbreak which i am so impressed with as it comes in a tiny bag! Wowzers.
