Would like to try 1000 cals a day. Are there any meal plans, ideas out there.??
I have Nutracheck which is great but need ideas particularly for lunches and dinners.

Definitely take your query to Chat GPT. This is honestly one of the places where the tool really shines. I ask it to make me weekly meal plans for 1100 cals, while also making suitable for teen DC, catering for dislikes/allergies etc etc and it does all that beautifully. It will also give you a shopping list, rough budget etc etc.

I would allocate
250 for breakfast
350 for lunch
350 for dinner
50 for a couple of teas/coffees

Obviously your portions can't be enormous, but if you eat these kind of foods you can eat a decent amount (ie not sparrow portions):

Breakfast

  • porridge made mostly with water and just a bit of milk, 1/2 tsp of honey on top
  • greek yoghurt and berries/melon
  • 2 eggs and tomatoes and avocado

Lunch

  • soup and a pitta
  • salad with lower fat protein like chicken/fish/lean red meat/cottage cheese. Dress with balsamic, not oil
  • open sandwich ie only one slice of bread, with loads of salad in addition to the sandwich 'filling'

Dinner

  • veg stew/curry with small amount of pasta/rice on side
  • oven roast stuffed veg like peppers, butternut, courgette. Again use lower fat protein and more veg to stuff it

Basically you need a shit load of veg. Kidney/cannellini etc beans are also great. Tinned tomatoes are your friend!

Just be careful OP, 1000 calories is really quite low, even for weight loss.
