MyFitnessPal and recipes - a question

Hello MN. I'm hoping someone can help me work out how to log servings of recipes I've made in the My Fitness Pal app.

Here's my question:

  • say I make a pot of soup and record the recipe, noting that it serves four
  • I then have one quarter of that pot of soup for a meal.
  • when I log the soup for my meal, do I log it as one quarter of the recipe serving?
  • Or do I log it as ONE serving of the recipe, as I've already noted down that the recipe serves four?

I do hope this makes sense! Will be very grateful for an answer. It's driving me crazy and making it hard to log.

TIA

One serving.

I input all ingredients (before cooking)
Then weigh the food (after its cooked and minus the dish or whatever its in)
Then I set the amount of servings as the weight so ive got macros per gram.
Then when logging the recipe I log how much grams of it ive had!
Keep a note of pan weights etc. Much easier than eyeballing 0.5 of a serving
