Favourite low calorie / healthier treats

If you’re sticking to a low calorie diet, what are your favourite treats that you can still incorporate into your diet without bowing your calorie allowance?

I quite like protein yoghurts, bliss balls made with oats/dates/coconut/maple syrup and a little dark chocolate, and fresh fruit. But looking for a bit more inspiration if anyone has any!

Halo top
Cotton candy grapes
Babybel light
Options hot chocolate

CuppaTeaBab · 25/01/2026 21:25

Babybell light, they have 5g of protein in them as well which is a bonus.

Low fat greek yoghurt, with berries, peanut butter and seeds. Or I swap out the berries for low sugar jam and add a small meringue nest for a tasty, low fat, high protein dessert.

Tunnocks teacake is 106 and thier caramel wafer is 135ish both really satifying if you need a sweet treat, the caramel is really chewy so takes awhile to eat which makes it feel more substantial! Rice cakes are good, low cal and lota of different flavours

Bliss bars- though full of junk
I like how sweet they are for when I need a ‘sugar’ hit.

Not healthy but 30g of coco pops is 117 calories and makes me feel like I have had a decent snack

AmIReallyTheGrownup · 28/03/2026 17:38

Dipping apple slices into a mix of Skyr, a spoonful of peanut butter, spoonful of honey and a shake of cinnamon.

I love proper popcorn. The sweet and salty are something like 68 cals per bag.

cocobanana922 · 01/04/2026 15:32

Popcorn is always a good one and 10 cal jelly pot with low fat whip cream and strawberries. I used to do greek yogurt with straberries and a crushed meringue on top.

Halo top & Options both awful for your health. Full of artificial additives

Konjac pasta with a low fat sauce and sprinkle of cheese. I get the Nashi ones and they taste really good, a few sliced mushrooms cooked in water and it feels like a meals for a very small amount of calories.

HappyMummaOfOne · 02/04/2026 09:03

I like the 90 calorie brownies from fibre one. Makes me feel like I am having a treat, chocolate without the high calories.

I also like to have 2 hashbrowns which are 166 calories and nice and filling if I’m hungry.

BlossomLeaves · 02/04/2026 09:05

I tend to go for fat free Greek yoghurt and add some combination of flavour drops, PB powder, berries, crumbled biscuit etc

WoahThreeAces · 02/04/2026 09:13

I'm currently obsessed with santini tomatoes - I buy a bug tub from M&S and just pick at them all day. Sometimes I add olives and feta.
When I'm snacking I try and make sure it includes fruit or vegetables, so berries and yoghurt, carrot and hummus. If I have time and can be bothered I'll make rice paper spring rolls - carrot, cucumber, spring onion, mushroom, spinach, whatever I've got in (tofu if I want protein but this ups the calories!) in a rice paper wrap and dipped in soy sauce. So good and very few calories if the filling is all veg

MummyInTheNecropolis · 02/04/2026 09:30

I have 2 Kallo lentil cakes (like rice cakes but with more protein) spread with pip and nut peanut butter with raspberries and blueberries. About 170 calories in total, decent amount of protein, fills me up and feels like a nice treat.

Snaletrale · 02/04/2026 09:35

The slimming world bars, especially the triple chocolate one, are delicious. I feel like I have a chocolate fix every day. They have fibre in, but otherwise not that healthy but they are the sole reason I’m sticking to my diet. You can get them in Iceland.

Emmz1510 · 02/04/2026 12:01

Mikado sticks
Skinny Whip bars
slimming world hi fi bars from iceland

A Genesis pancake toasted 77kcal, a digestive biscuit is 71 or a small banana 72.
