I keep seeing people saying they are not losing even in a calorie deficit. I was going to start calorie counting but now wondering if I should maybe try slimming world.

How can you know it's much easier if you haven't even heard of it?

I just tried chatgpt to find the calories in a specific product that I had recently. It was completely incorrect - nutracheck is so easy. Scan the barcode. Say how much you used. Done. And it's a lot more accurate than the guess it took just now!

It's great that chatgpt works for you. But I'll stick with what works for me.

I use Team RH and it’s similar, scan the barcode add the amount you have and boom it’s added to your daily tracker.

Yes it does. I used Nutracheck. Paying for it keeps me in check. I have free 30 day trials I can gift if anyone wants a link.
I do find I can only maintain if I keep up a decent exercise regime though and stay strong.

Will send it to you in a message

I'm not affiliated with nutracheck in any way, just loved that it was more UK based than MFP! Plus the eating out function is helpful.

I am losing weight by restricting calories. Its coming off slowly but it's definitely coming off and I feel so much better. I have lost almost two stone so far at about a pound a week. I still.have another stone to go and it's getting boring and harder to keep to but for me it's much better than something like slimming world which I know I would never keep to and I couldn't face the public weighing.

FluffyWabbit · 07/08/2025 17:06

I've gone from 25 stone to 9 stone counting calories. It definitely works.

I am on day 3 of a free trial with Nutracheck and it's been an eye opener. I am on mounjoro and have been losing weight very slowly, I feel that I am eating next to nothing, but putting in my calories every day I am struggling to stay under 1200. Inputting everything i eat really helps me to stay focused, its so easy to think oh i will have a biscuit i ate very little today, when actually I have eaten my full allowance. and more

Becs258 · 07/08/2025 17:16

Yes, I’m a yo yo-er, but have successfully lost weight that way several times. Currently have lost 3 stone on around 1800 calories a day, with another 4 ish stone to lose. You have to be honest with yourself and count everything though.
