And what are the calories of them?

I am dieting and losing weight probably at an average of half a pound per week.

Cream crackers (70 cals for 2).
Fruit (favorites are clementines 35 cal or bananas 90 cal).
If I want a low cal lunch I go for tinned tomatoes (44cals for half tin) plus granary bread (1-2 slices) so can be as low as 150 cal.
Vegetable sticks with hummus (carrot, cucumber etc).
Large snack a jack about 58cal.

socks1107 · 17/02/2025 20:30

I'm on the crackers too, so yummy.
I also like grapes and apples.

I've all but cut snacking out though but I do enjoy a salted caramel chocolate hot cross bun when I have enough calories left

ShaunaSadeki · 17/02/2025 20:34

Gherkins! About 15 cals each and so strongly flavoured that they really hit the savoury spot

Chasingsquirrels · 17/02/2025 20:36

Something sweet
Aldi Dreamy (Milkyway copy) multipack bar - 72 cals.
Aldi Roar (Lion Bar copy) multipack bar - 85 cals.
Mint imperial - 12 cals.

Aldi Multigrain cracker - 25 cal.

Sugar free jelly
Popcorn

GoldMoon · 19/02/2025 09:54

More a meal , wholemeal toast , tomatoes ( cooked in a spray of olive oil ) and poached egg .

coldscottishmum · 19/02/2025 09:55

Cucumber and bell peppers with garlic and herb low fat Philadelphia. Can’t remember how many calories as I’m not at home just now but so good to snack on. I go through a pack of 3 peppers in about 2 days!

BobbyBiscuits · 19/02/2025 10:00

Pickled onions. Not sure the cals but it's very low.
Cheese strings. Not so much now but I liked them when I was dieting. You can make one last quote a long time!
Quavers. They're about 90 a pack I think.
Fresh crab meat on lettuce cups with a tiny bit of mayo and lemon. Not sure again but it's hardly any. Expensive though!

Raspberries, mango and grapes

Applewood or double Gloucester cheese on crackers

MsSquiz · 19/02/2025 13:12

Frozen grapes are like eating sweets for a sweet treat and take longer to eat than unfrozen.

I'm a fan of the skinny bars too

Colddayhotcuppa · 19/02/2025 13:12

I don't know exact calories but chia seeds soaked in water are quite filling and give energy boost.

Boiled eggs

Pears I've found quite filling

Chayy · 19/02/2025 13:14

If I'm starving hungry and losing weight, I have an apple and a cuppa, it'll hold you over for another hour or so.

MiddleAgedDread · 19/02/2025 13:17

The Aldi mini packs of biscuits - animal biscuits, party rings, jammie dodgers, chocolate digestives etc are all around 70-100 calories a bag.

SirSidneyRuffDiamond · 19/02/2025 22:07

I love a small bowl of vadasz kimchi - about 15 calories per 100g.

Ditto vadasz sauerkraut - 20 calories per 100g

An apple with a heaped dessert spoon of Skyr

Boiled egg

Oven roasted tomatoes and courgettes - no oil, but plenty of salt and pepper. Served with balsamic vinegar or sriracha

Nothanksiwillwalk · 20/02/2025 05:37

Babybel - 49 cals
Rice cake - 40 ish csls
Homemade soup - 220 cals (batch in freezer and v v filing)
Roasted chick peas/soya beans - 120 cals

HollyBollyBooBoo · 20/02/2025 05:51

I haven't really used these before. Do they taste nice and are they filling?

I get a dinner plate and fill it with a few different things:

Light babybel: 42 Claire's
A little dish of melon: 34 calories
A low calorie pocket of crisps or popcorn: approx 70 calories
A homemade peanut butter flapjack (Joe Wicks): it's small and I'm not sure on calories maybe over 100 but filling
Carrot sticks and hummus
Apple slices or clementine
Cubes of ham or chicken

The trick seems to be filling the plate so it feels like a lot of food volume wise but the overall calories aren't high. I always make sure there is something high in protein in whatever I am eating.

DinoLil · 20/02/2025 06:48

Sliced apple with sugar free peanut butter.

HollyBollyBooBoo · 20/02/2025 10:22

@hollyblueivy I think they're good and serve a purpose. Think personal taste comes into it terms of brand and flavour. Personal favourite is My Protein either vanilla or chocolate (didn't like their strawberry one), but there are lots out there. Read the macros as some of them have so much shite in them you may as well eat a mars bar.

dayslikethese1 · 09/07/2025 19:05

Cottage cheese with syracha, Fage 0% yoghurt with blueberries, tins of sardines (I buy the ones in tomato sauce, think they're about 200 a tin), crackerbread w smear of margarine, apple slices with pb2, hardboiled egg.
