Can I put a door in my detached garage without building regs

I'd say, if you're knocking down brick, a few hours with a sledgehammer, possibly around 500 cals. Its never as much as you think unfortunately

Yes technically you will need building regs as it’s a change to the structure.

You don't need PP if you still have your permitted development rights, you will need to inform building control of your intentions though
