Asking as this is what I really want to have a companion on.

I'll happily go first though:

5 ft 2, 10 stone 1, 1200 calories a day, lose approx 1 pound a week

45 years old - 5ft2 starting weight on 8th March 10st13 weighed today 10st8, currently Intermittent Fasting doing one meal a day (OMAD) trying to keep it low carb too, so don't calorie count. It's been a stressful week so haven't cut down alcohol.

5"9.5, weigh 9 stone 8. If I ate 1500 calories a day I'd lose around 2 to 3 pounds per week.

5ft 6 and 74kg, if i eat 1600 or under I lose weight. I don't lose above that.

5’7”. 15st 10lbs. Starting weight was 22st. When I first started losing I could eat up to 1500 calories a day and lose around 2lbs a week. Now I eat 1000-1200 a day and lose 1lb a week. Slow going, but still going.

Gosh, this does not sound right peach, you should still be losing weight at around 1,600cals given your stats. Have you tried counting macros instead of just calories? This helped me keep shifting weight when I plateau’d.

I was wondering the exact same thing OP. I have recently gained half a stone so this morning looked up my tdee to see the number of calories I would maintain my weight on (and then was going to subtract a bit to lose that half a stone). But I was shocked that to maintain my current weight, I could only eat 1400 a day!! So to lose say a lb a week I'd have to go down to 900 calories a day. I tried 3 different online calculators and all said the same. I'm 45, 5ft 2 and chose the 'light exercise ' option as I don't do any formal exercise but am on my feet quite a bit during the course of the day.
I think I might just keep the half stone on as eating 900 cals a day is too depressing!

I’m 5 foot 7 and 10 stone 12 lbs. Im losing 1/2 a pound a week on 1200 a day in the week and 2000 on the weekend.

mondaytosunday · 23/04/2023 09:07

Im not going to say how much I weigh but I'm 5'10, 61 and lose up to 1kg a week on 1500. Really need to weigh it all out though, can't trust your eyes! I find it hard to stick to after a month.

Oneearringlost · 23/04/2023 09:28

Have you worked out your TDEE ( Total Daily Exercise Expenditure?) Google TDEE and you'll find a calculator online. I found this helpful.

middleager · 23/04/2023 09:36

5ft 2 and 10st 4, age 50
I have lost 2st since Dec on 1200 cals a day as I am quite sedetary.

Lately, I've struggled to see it come off so dropped to 800 to 1,000 calories and lose about 1lb a week. I know this is very low, below the recommended allowance, but the weight won't shift otherwise.

middleager · 23/04/2023 09:37

Sedentary!

Oneearringlost · 23/04/2023 09:45

Basically, my TDEE ( based on ht, current weight, age, sex and rough level of daily exercise) is 1,600 calories a day as I'm sedentary.
To lose roughly 2 pounds a week, one has to cut 7000 calories ( 1 pound weight loss= 3,500 calories). Therefore, if I can stick too 1,000 calories a day for a week, I could lose just over 1 pound a week ( calorie deficit for me being 7× 600= 4, 200 calories) Might this help?
Of course, ppl will come on and say there are variables like type of food, cutting carbs, increasing protein and some find intermittent fasting works, but as a rough guide, applying maths has worked for me. I lost 2.7 stones 7 years ago and by and large kept it off.
Good luck
