It definitely works, the first few days are the hardest then it’s surprisingly easy/effective. Good luck!

Yes! Protein and lots of veg.

@Cazalet could you suggest a breakfast, lunch and dinner idea for this please?

WellTidy · 06/05/2022 16:42

Yes, I did this once. I didn’t have lots to lose either, I was already inside the healthy BMI but wanted to sit pretty much at 22. I lost 12lb in five weeks which included Christmas.

It was a very low calorie diet, essentially. Very low carb too. And small portions. It wasn’t easy.

breakfast - either porridge or 0% fat yoghurt and berries

lunch - protein and veg

dinner - protein and veg (fish if I’d had meat at lunchtime, or I could have had eggs but I don’t like eggs)

snack - apple and another piece of fruit if I hadn’t had fruit at breakfast

a couple of ryvita twice a week

Hardcore, but it worked and the weight stayed off.

when I diet I always loose like 4-5lb in the first week (mostly water) so if you are very strict it is doable.

Even easier if you have a lot to lose.

It depends on how much you have to lose. Are you in the healthy range already?
