Including fruit/veg with every meal

Hello,

So I’m an ex SW-er who is trying to get out of unhealthy habits and make progress with CC. The only thing (when I’ve done it in the past) is I’ve found I won’t be filling my plate with fruit or veg/salad bits and chose to have 50-75 cal (approx) more pasta for example.

How do you all include having a good helping of fresh fruit and veg with your meal?
Whilst on SW I was always having the 1/3 with every meal but unsure what others do and the general rule for these things?

Thank you in advance!

I'm combining CC with intermittent fasting (well I lost 3 stone this way and now trying to make my way back on after a couple of weeks not doing this!), so I always try to make my first meal very heavily veg based e.g. up to 500 kg of veg (usually cooked from frozen for convenience) as my 'breakfast' is at least around lunchtime and usually dinner time.

Then later I may have a large salad but there is no 'rule' around that. Once I've got my very large serving of veg in then I concentrate on the calorie counting side of it (and I do count the veg calories!) and just eat more veg/salad/fruit if I fancy it. I consciously go easy on the fruit - particularly the high sugar fruits like Mango, which I love - as I can eat ridiculous amounts.
