Can you alter daily calories on Nutracheck?

Planning to give nutracheck another try, but it’s given me a completely different daily calorie allowance to both the nhs calculator and my TDEE (400 less/600 less respectively). I want to lose weight but worried if I go too low too soon I’ll struggle to stick to it. Is there any way to alter it?

Tap the top right sign - it's like 3 lines and a circle. Then scroll down to 'set my own goal.'

Ah fab thankyou. I don’t really know what to set as a goal as a good starting point-
TDEE for cutting calories 2088, 2588 to maintain. Yes I’m huge Sad.
NHS app says 1654-2126 aim more to the lower end for most weight loss
Nutracheck says 1273 which I’m worried is very low.
Perhaps I’m best to start a new thread for that.

Well it's best to start high surely? Starting too low means you've got absolutely no more cloth to cut when you hit your first plateau.

What's your starting weight roughly? Or how much would you like to lose?

I’ve 5st to lose to be at the top of my healthy weight range Blush. I’ve really let myself go, gained over 2st of that in the last year.Sad I’m tall & have a large frame so to be at the top of my healthy weight range would be amazing.

I’m going to try on 1600 ish I think? See how that goes. I did 1273 yesterday and it was ok so long as I have melon for breakfast and salad for lunch, no snacks, no drinks. There’s not a lot of leeway for things that will inevitably crop up in a family with young kids and fussy eaters. My 6yo DD wanted us both to have hot chocolate with marshmallows and squirty cream yesterday, I made one for her but then she was upset as she wanted me to have one too. (I didn’t btw). It’s so hard.

Ugh yes - the lockdown weight gain has been hard. I've put on about 11 lbs which I know doesn't sound like absolutely stacks but I had a tummy tuck in October and well .... weight gain after that is not recommended!! It can't go back on your stomach but it sure as hell can go other places and basically I have the figure of a carrot right now!

I'm calorie counting too and have worked it all out to lose around 1.5-2lbs a week - hopefully more. So I'm eating 1326 cals a day - very precise I know! I'm short at 5 ft 3 and am definitely bloody overweight
