hello, I am so uneducated with calorie counting,
I joined slimming world and did lose weight but it gave me such a unhealthy relationship with food! I was eating to much " free food " and any food with a syn value is bad to me,
So I want to try calorie counting,
I am currently 15 stone 2 pounds and 5 food 4 ( I'm so disgusted with myself)
I NEED to lose weight, I have a brain condition which effects my vision and my Dr said weight loss is the only cure,
So how many calories should I be eating a day to lose weight?

I use an app called www.nutracheck.co.uk/Home
It works out what calories you need based on you and what activities you do.
It's free for a few items of food or I want to say it's around £3.99 a month to track as much as you want.

Myfitnesspal is great for calorie counting

You need to use a basal metabolic rate calculator. That will tell you how many calories you use to maintain. Then the amount you need to lose weight is about 500 calories per day less than that, that will lose you about 1lb a week. Drink plenty of water, eating fresh and exercising, even a 30 minute brisk walk per day, will also help massively.
