What do/would you eat in a day? I need some inspo for meals, I lost a stone during summer and was looking really toned but have put it all back on and lost motivation entirely. help!

I generally just eat scaled down portions and bulk the rest of my meals out with salad/green veg.

Yesterday I had:

2 eggs on half slice toast, ham and cup of tea for breakfast

Cup of tea mid morning

Stilton with mayonnaise and salad. Coffee with cream and milk and a chocolate for lunch.

Cup of tea mid afternoon.

Dinner was sausage stew, green beans and pea. Coffee with cream and milk and a chocolate. Glass of wine.

Oh and a cup of tea in the evening.

Normally if I calorie count I have loads of vegetables like butternut squash, courgettes etc with all my meals. Bulks it up.

I'm not cal counting right now but probably had around 1600 yesterday:

Sandwich from Starbucks: 510
Coffees: 200
Pasta, red pesto, mushrooms and black olives
Red wine 🍷

Not a thrilling menu!

Hella lot on 1600😁

Green pesto spaghetti with lrawns are lovely. Pesto is spinach, rocket, cress, lemon juice, strong cheese, wallnuts to taste, salt, pepper. Very simple and very nice dish. I use about 65g of spaghetti and 1 courgette into courgetti. Throw in half cut cherry tomatoes finish with bit of strong flavour cheese. The courgetti make it filling but nice light dish.

Skittles I'm the same! Lost a stone, put it back on, but back on 1200 cals a day to lose 1lb a week. (I'm short).

Im skipping breakfast and have a brunch of 1 slice tiger bread toast, 2 poached eggs, snack pot of beans for 400cals

I'll eat salad and packet chicken at 3:30 for about 150 cal

100cal for milk, dollop ketchup etc

Then approx 500 cal for lasagne for dinner, small portion with salad

2 fingers of wine before bed.

It's hard.

It's hard

I calorie count with my FitBit app so that bit is very easy. When I first started dieting but didn't seem to be losing weight even though I was running everyday I decided to cut portions of my main food dish in half. To make sure my plate was full and I hadn't finished eating before everyone else I filled the rest of my plate with salad / green veg. It only took a couple of days to get used to because I was essentially having the same foods albeit in different proportions. After that it is easy. My portions don't seem small at all to me now I just think I was eating too much for my requirements previously. The other benefit is more leftovers which can be frozen and eaten at a later date. So less cooking and smaller food bills!Grin
