I am calorie counting and we all need to eat roughly the same meals (no time for anything else). I'm not giving up carbs (would be starving) and I need the odd snack (but I'm massively cutting down on sugar).
I walk a lot but I have a bad hip so I can't do much more (it even hurts swimming).
I have been on about 1600 cals a day, sometimes I go over it my fitbit says I've walked loads.
I really can't make us all low cal meals as DH and DD need balanced meals and DS is on meds that reduce his appetite so I can't make too much that's filling but low calorie.
We eat meat and DS favourite meal is sausages...
And I get SO HUNGRY mid morning and before tea. Hard to avoid snacking after tea too though I try to give the DCs e.g. fruit and yoghurt but have my own fruit later.
