Hi I spent 3 decades yoyo dieting I stoped in 2018
I’m down 86lbs
I track weigh measure everything

I do 4-8 exercise classes a day
I walk 30-40 miles a week
I m 50 have some perimenopause symptoms

I’m can’t eat about 1300 calories a day or I gain :( so I’m worried for the future
I’ve had doctors tests nothing wrong and I’m now wondering if I’ve messed my body up

I’ve about 20-30 lbs left to lose I’m a uk size 10-12 I’m 158lbs at 5ft 2

Anyone else struggle !

I did meal replacements years and only lost 1-2 lbs a week on those everyone else lost 3-4lbs a week on 500 calories a day

Feeling sad :(

Time to switch up what you are eating. Are you just calorie counting? Or are you eating specific food types? You exercise A LOT. I assume you mean 4-8 classes a week. What kind of classes? High impact? If so, you need more rest days to build muscle. If low impact, you need some high impact to get your heart rate up. Walking doesn't really do much eventually if you are doing it all the time. Your body just gets used to it.
Sometimes your body can come to a standstill on weight loss and it just needs a change.

You are exercising far too much. You should not be doing high intensity workouts 1-2 times every single day. You will be overly stressing your body and that isn't conductive to weight loss. You need rest days.

meme70 · 18/02/2020 14:49

That’s not true what about instructors I knwo some that do 4-5 classes every day 5 days a week
My body isn’t stressed
I do have rest days :)

Your instructors aren't trying to lose weight and what you may notice is, they don't always do full impact. And they will be a lot fitter than you if you are two stone overweight with a far higher muscle density, which they will eat a high protein diet to maintain, not 1300kcals a day. I don't think you can compare yourself to a professional fitness instructor.
You asked for help and advice, I gave it, you dismissed it all. Good luck in figuring it out without making any changes to your current routine because it seems like you don't want to.
