Is anybody following this plan?

If so, how successful have you found it?

Thanks in advance

I haven't joined as I'm skint but I love reading their FB posts and they have really changed my attitude to food and dieting

chipstickgirl · 13/01/2020 21:56

The posts I have seen are hysterical 😂

Is it basically just calorie counting?

Pretty much. Calorie deficit and movement.

Angbunnyboo · 14/01/2020 16:41

I'm on Team RH and finding it really good. Just started this week but its easy to follow as they have loads of info on their FB group and have an app that helps track everything.

They give you a set amount of calories (I'm on 1900) and you have to hit your calorie goal, your protein goal and your fibre goal. I'm having trouble getting all my goals at the moment, I can hit fibre with fruit and veg but the protein is killing me! However nothing is off limits as long as you stick to the calorie goal.

The group is really supportive, loads of people to help, there are coaches and daily posts to answer questions and workout routines to follow. You also have to get in 10,000 steps for the day.

The videos are great - explaining about nutrition and stuff, and why slimming clubs don't really work (sorry to all SC and WW members, whatever works for you).

So yes, I'm really enjoying it and I'm a bit of a groupie at the moment!

@Angbunnyboo that's super helpful, thank you 🙏🏼

I did it for 6 months last year and lost only 3lb. In 6 months! Followed it to the letter. They put me on 1900 calories too. So I left ..

Now II've reduced my calorie intake myself to 1200 and I'm losing a steady 1-2 lb a week.

chipstickgirl · 14/01/2020 21:30

@wherehavealltheflowersgone well done for finding something that's working for you. I would have been so deflated to have only lost that in 6 months.

They solved my binge eating, because I can stick to the calories alloted to me and there's no guilt. I'm not great at hitting my step goal though so didn't have fast weight loss with them and alcohol just doesn't work with me for weight loss. I lost about 10lbs in six months but looked like more plus I no longer bloat because I'm eating fibre rich food.

I suppose I'm not as dedicated as you need to be but happy to follow their system.

This year I reset my step goal to 8k average and I've lost 2.5lbs in two weeks, I'm content with that rate of weight loss and still having a life.

chipstickgirl · 20/01/2020 14:04

@Happierwithouthim thank you. I signed up yesterday so I'll give it a go x

I love them - they're kind, supportive and funny but I find it restrictive. You need to be committed to weighing absolutely everything and have a degree in nutrition to work out the macro nutrients in things. I don't eat meat or fish and really struggled to get my protein as high as needed.

I seem to do better tracking 1400 cals on my fitness pal and getting a 30 minute workout in each day.

chipstickgirl · 05/02/2020 07:06

@cheeseomelette I've no idea how you would do it with no fish / meat. I'm just starting week 3 and 6lb down but yes it takes a lot of thought but I guess I have 30+ years of bad eating habits to break

I'm in team RH too! I joined at the beginning of the year but have fannied about. Had a really couple of stressful weeks but am getting back on track now... I love their refreshing approach. Join the calorie club on the FB page and make MFP friends with others on the same calorie goal. I stalk peoples MFP diaries for inspiration.

chipstickgirl · 20/02/2020 18:03

I have to say I'm at the point of packing it in. I've followed the plan religiously for 4 weeks, used the coaches and had my macros reset and so far I'm down 2.8lbs.

I actually lost 4.2lb in my first week and since then moved a little either side but nothing significant.

I also hit 10,000 steps most days so it's not like I'm completely inactive.

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 21/02/2020 11:43

What's wrong with 3lbs loss in 4 weeks?

chipstickgirl · 21/02/2020 12:35

@Happierwithouthim when you have about 5 stone to lose - that weight loss is extremely low

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 21/02/2020 12:52

Ok fair enough, I didn’t know what you had to lose.

Are you hitting fibre & water? I find these are the things that make the difference for me

reenon · 26/02/2020 07:57

You can message them so they can look at your mfp data and then they can see what's going on.
