How to lose weight whilst breastfeeding

Hi all,
I am trying to lose the 7kg extra weight I’ve ended up since having my baby (who is 11 weeks old now). I have been getting my 10k steps in by walking with baby daily and I eat healthy home cooked meals which amount to 1500 calories per day. However I am not losing any weight whatsoever! This has been going on for 5 weeks now, no inch loss and weight loss. I don’t want to make the calorie deficit too high in case it affects my milk production but not sure what else I can do or why this is happening?
I have done the same thing in the past after previous baby and it worked but I wasn’t breastfeeding then.

I think for some it is nearly impossible to lose weight whilst exclusively breastfeeding. Im gradually losing now my DD is weaning and dropping feeds.

Honestly I could not lose weight while breast feeding. Finally started coming off when I weaned DS(at 18mo!!) and 2 months later I'm pregnant with DC2 so diet has gone well and truly out the window. Don't stress out too much - it will hopefully shift once your little one weans.

Hi, I've been steadily losing weight whilst EBF. Intermittent fasting (16/8) and low carbs. I have porridge oats every morning, then no carbs for the rest of the day. Lots of greens and proteins. I have quite a bit more to lose than you though Blush

I bf all 3dc, my first 2 I lost the weight I gained very quickly while not trying. 3rd I didn’t lose 1lb, but then when I stopped I put on 7lb 🤔 - so guess breastfeeding was doing something?

I’m also blaming it on age, so much harder to shift the weight now I’m over 30....
