Title says it all really. Need some help to stay motivated to my 1,200kcal per day limit. Mine are:-

Vanilla SKYR yoghurt - really creamy and delicious (75kcal per 100g)
Rice Cakes - salt & vinegar flavour (41kcal each)
Cashew Nut milk - sweet, creamy and lovely warm (23kcal per 100ml)

I've found that going for full fat versions is best. You eat less but get better flavour and feel fuller longer.

I'm also low carbing so not technically calorie counting but I log on mfp to plan the day and stop me diving for the bread when I'm hungry and can't remember what I was planning to eat. I plan lunch, dinner and snack (don't really eat breakfast often but eat in the evenings so plan to allow for that). By logging I can see how I'm eating loads of food, often cooked in butter, but am around 1200 calories a day naturally.

marshmallows - sainsbury's large ones are 24 calories
Quorn scotch eggs - around 50 calories each and filling snack
berries - raspberries, blueberries etc all 1 calorie each
Stuffing ball - paxo sage and onion - random but filling 50 calorie snack!
Prawns - one king prawn has around 8 calories
Rice cakes from snackajacks, pop chips, popcorn all around 80-90 calories per bag
parma ham slice - 32 calories
salsa dip is v low calorie - I now always pick it over guac, sour cream, hummus etc
crumpet - 89 calories
scotch pancake - 82 calories
coke zero saves me

Enjoy!

Hartleys 10 kcal jellies
Low fat cottage cheese with hot sauce
Fage yoghurts (0 fat one tastes fine IMO), can put berries etc. in it
Skinny popcorn
Crackerbread with small amount of something on (my current thing is sardine and tomato paste, I realise this might sound weird)
Gherkins (I'm obessed)
I like those baby Organix biscuits (esp the banana ones)
Almond/Hazelnut milk
Highlights hot chocolate

Shredded white cabbage and chopped broccoli stir fried in ginger, garlic and soy or smoked garlic, smoked paprika and stock

Also the above but with Zero noodles (30 calories per pack or maybe less and no carbs)
Courgetti, pesto and flaked tuna or on the side with a tuna steak

Here are some ideas, I found a protein meal replacement shake always helped me skip meals and if u use almond milk instead of cows milk it's only 166 cals, also salted caramel flavour calorie free works wonders in coffee, natural yoghurt etc, you have to try the peanut hottie it rly curbs ur hunger it's a powder form u mix with a little water an spread on weight watchers toast with chopped banana it curbs my hunger for ages, I love making low calorie meals I have lots, like home made lamb shush kebab on flat bread with salad, and low fat garlic mayo, it's amazing, beef and veg curry, bolognaise pizza etc

Loving all the savoury options being listed- all the ‘diet’ snacks and shakes are faux sweet and I don’t have a sweet tooth. I need a low-cal alternative to cheese and white carbs, not doughnuts and cakes!

For those with a savoury tooth, I recommend a reduced-salt Oxo cube in hot water.

Feta can be used very sparingly to add good flavour.

Sainsbury's bacon medallions - only 62kcal for 2!
Eggs are my filler
Waitrose roast chicken slice only 24kcal!

I'm eating a lot of cauliflower rice in a stirfry with chicken or prawns and peppers, onions and garlic.

dancemom · 15/03/2019 18:53

Broghies, just 20 cal each and can be used as crackers with toppings or just plain as crisps
